Video Localization
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Video Localization allows you to translate video content by generating subtitles and/or dubbing audio in multiple languages. The system transcribes source audio, translates the content, and produces synchronized subtitles and natural-sounding voice-overs.
Supported Languages
Section titled “Supported Languages”Video localization supports 28 languages:
European Languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Czech, Romanian, Slovak, Croatian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Greek, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Ukrainian
Asian Languages: Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Tamil, Indonesian, Malay, Vietnamese, Filipino
Other: Arabic, Turkish, Finnish
Note: Video translation uses different language codes than text translation. The UI will show only supported video languages when working with videos.
Getting Started
Section titled “Getting Started”- Navigate to Translate Video from the sidebar (under Translation).
- Upload your source video file.
- The system automatically detects the source language from the audio.
- Select one or multiple target languages for translation.
- Choose your output options (see below).
- Configure translation settings.
- Start the translation process.
Output Options
Section titled “Output Options”Subtitles Only
Section titled “Subtitles Only”Generate translated subtitle files:
- SRT format: Standard subtitle format compatible with most video players
- Synchronized with original video timing
- Includes speaker identification when applicable
Dubbing Only
Section titled “Dubbing Only”Create translated audio tracks:
- Natural-sounding voice synthesis
- Matches original speech pace and emotion
- Language-specific voice characteristics
Subtitles + Dubbing
Section titled “Subtitles + Dubbing”Get both outputs in one process:
- Complete localization package
- Subtitles and audio track ready for integration
- Perfect for full video localization
Translation Process
Section titled “Translation Process”The video translation workflow includes:
- Upload: Video is uploaded and processed
- Transcription: Source audio is transcribed to text
- Translation: Content is translated to target languages
- Subtitle generation: Subtitles are created with timing
- Audio synthesis: Dubbed audio is generated (if selected)
- Review: Preview and download your localized content
Status indicators:
- PENDING: Waiting for upload
- UPLOADED: Video uploaded successfully
- PROCESSING: Translation in progress
- READY: Translation completed
- FAILED: An error occurred
Advanced Settings
Section titled “Advanced Settings”Using Glossaries
Section titled “Using Glossaries”- Select a glossary that matches your video’s languages.
- Glossary terms ensure consistent translation of brand names, technical terms, etc.
- Especially important for maintaining brand consistency across languages.
Translation Tone and Style
Section titled “Translation Tone and Style”- Set translation preferences similar to text translation.
- Customize for your target audience (formal, casual, technical, etc.).
Managing Video Library
Section titled “Managing Video Library”- View all uploaded videos in your library.
- Access video details and translation status.
- Download original videos or translated outputs.
- Re-translate videos to additional languages.
Downloading Results
Section titled “Downloading Results”- Once translation status is READY, access the video details.
- Download options include:
- Subtitle files (SRT format)
- Dubbed audio tracks
- Complete package (video + subtitles + audio)
- Files are available for immediate download.
Tips for Best Results
Section titled “Tips for Best Results”- Clear audio: Ensure source video has clear, audible speech for better transcription accuracy.
- Use glossaries: For brand names, product names, or technical terms, create and use glossaries.
- Language selection: Verify your target languages are supported before starting.
- Processing time: Larger videos and multiple languages take longer - be patient.
- Review translations: Always review subtitles and audio for accuracy before publishing.
- Test previews: Use preview features to verify quality before final download.
- Batch processing: Translate to multiple languages in one job for efficiency.
Video Packages
Section titled “Video Packages”For high-volume video translation needs, video packages may be available. These provide prepaid minutes for video translation at reduced rates. Check the Plans section for video package options.
